​The Marcia Alford Endowment

The Marcia Alford Endowment - named after a beloved former Lacy Principal - was created in 2014 as a way to support the Lacy Foundation through annual distributions. Marcia Alford was instrumental in helping to establish the Lacy Foundation.  We are proud to honor her deep commitment to Lacy Elementary and the Lacy Foundation through this endowment.

The Endowment is an important component to long-term planning for the Foundation since, at present, the Foundation’s ability to fund teaching positions is a year-to-year fundraising effort. With sufficient growth, distributions from the Endowment could support one or more teaching positions every year.  Donations to the Endowment are an incredible way to support Lacy Elementary in an impactful way for years to come.
