Kelli Wilson has been working at Lacy for the past 11 years. She is a second grade teacher assistant for Mrs. Acree. Kelli’s contribution is consistently adding that extra layer of support, whether is be supporting the students with one-on-one instruction, working with small groups, or simply being that extra set of eyes, hands and feet in the classroom. She loves working with the kids and giving them that extra bit of attention to help them succeed.
Kelli and her husband, JJ, have been married for 25 years, spending the last 11 of those years in Raleigh. They have 2 children who are now both juniors, one at University of South Carolina and the other at Broughton High School. Allie and Davis are both proud graduates of Lacy Elementary!
Jody Addeo is in her eighth year teaching at Lacy. She spent five years as the Project Based Learning teacher, but is now in the role of Digital Learning Facilitator. In all of her roles at Lacy, Jody has worked to encourage responsibility, independence and creativity in her students. Jody is part of what makes Lacy a warm, welcoming place for students and families.
Jody and her husband moved to Raleigh in 2008 after 10 years in Australia. Both her children attended Lacy since Kindergarten.
Jennifer Borowiak is in her second year at Lacy as an Enrichment Intervention Specialist. Deeply experienced, she has been a teacher for 22 years and a reading specialist for 21 years. Jennifer has taught all grades from Pre-K to college level. She became a teacher because she loves helping children discover those “I can do it” moments, when they can finally conquer a challenging skill.
Jennifer grew up in Rochester, NY, spent some time living in Pittsburgh, PA, and moved to the Raleigh area 12 years ago. She and her husband have three children: a senior and a freshman in high school, and a fourth grader. In her spare time, she loves to hang with her family, scrapbook, travel, support the (sigh) Buffalo Bills, try new recipes, and READ!

Clare Dorn has been teaching Spanish at Lacy for the past eight years. Clare feels learning Spanish naturally lends itself to supporting student growth in the homeroom classroom in most areas, including math. Students have to think critically and globally in Spanish class which builds on and supports their curriculum. All students in grades 2 – 5 go to the Spanish special once a week.
Clare is originally from Norfolk, VA and received her Masters in Education from the University of Virginia. She has her husband moved to Raleigh 14 years ago. She and her husband have 2 children, ages 13 and 10. They enjoy spending time together, traveling, and going to the beach during the summers.
Tracey McDowell is in her 10th year teaching at Lacy and is currently a Literacy Specialist for kindergarten and second grade. During her time at Lacy, she has taught Spanish, worked in the Lion's Den and served as a teacher assistant in the second grade. She was inspired to teach after having children of her own, and loves the smile and look in the children's eyes when they learn something new.
Tracey was born and raised in Raleigh, and graduated from NCSU with Spanish Degree. Prior to becoming a teacher, she worked in Orthopedics for 13 years. She and her husband have 2 high-school aged sons. She enjoys walking her dog, running, cooking, and tutoring Spanish.
Georgette Abdullah is in her third year at Lacy, as a second grade teacher assistant to Ms. Ingallinera. Working with children is, and always has been, one of her passions. Georgette is pleased to be able to support our teachers in the classroom, as school is such an important foundation for kids.
